Last Wednesday - 26th of August, all the communities went to slum area at The Menteng Pulo Funeral. We focus to bless especially the children with snacks and goody bags also clothings. We arrived there 2.30 pm because the event will be start on 3 pm and we have to finish it before 6 pm because some of them are moslems and they are doing fasting for Ramadhan month. We are so excited when we got to the place. In a house of 4 times 3 square meters, full with children who have been waiting for us. They were so exciting when they saw us, they shout and yel to welcome us.
We did some preparation before we start the programs. Fisrt, we want to play with children and we have prepared some exciting games for them, we also bought some gifts for the winner and other children as well.
This event was really awesome! All the children and their families enjoy so much. Everybody were laughing because we share the love of Christ. We felt that all our effort to make this happen was really a pleasure we want to become a blessing for the needy people. We could see people are hungry for a relationship with God and for His love. Our heart were burning for the passion of Christ and we pray, Lord make them believe the One who gave His life to human kind so that people will die but will have an ever lasting life through Jesus Christ the redeemer.
As we give the goody bags to the children we thought that for us maybe it is nothing but for them it is really mean something special because it comes from the relationship of the heart.
As we based our church on Life Connection, we connect with many people through a Christian Real Life Group or Life Group and each life group has its own uniqueness because we don't have any specific form. Every Life Group has its own shape and pattern according to its need. Some may have their group in the swimming pool, after swimming they will pray together. The other group has their meeting at home, they praise and worship the Lord and one will preach the word and pray one and another. As the Lord lead them they are freely to form and shape their own group.
